Kids’ Cooking Workshops
Kids can (and should) cook too!
Are you looking for a fun kids’ cooking activity with a difference? Food At Heart cooking workshops blend fun and focus, all while creating tasty dishes.
Cooking and tasting are great skills for children to develop at any stage of their life. All the techniques and activities I use in my adult workshops are just as relevant for children! Kids will learn how to taste more mindfully, cook creatively and have fun with food.
Whether it’s a party for a special occasion, a classroom activity or you want to bring kids together over the school holidays, I can design a session for you based around your budget and venue.
Prices normally start at around £25-£30 per head for a 1.5 – 2 hour session, with minimum booking numbers. For events outside Buckinghamshire / parts of Berkshire / Oxfordshire / London there may be some additional travel charges.
What to expect at a Food At Heart session…
Food At Heart sessions focus on a particular theme or type of cooking, and use this as a way to explore and play with flavours. From chocolate to salad, there are lots of fantastic ingredients to explore.
Events always incorporate reflective tasting to help build appreciation for food and flavour in a truly conscious way. With experimental flavour activities and creative concoctions, tasting and cooking are a great way to get kids to build a healthy relationship with and understanding of food.
Ingredients are organic and seasonal where possible; I avoid overuse of refined sugar and focus on using ‘real’ foods.
A little bit about Food At Heart…
Food At Heart sessions are run by me, Meredith from Food At Heart. I love food, flavour and cooking, and really care about how they can help boost health and happiness. This year I’ve cooked with children at Kids In The Kitchen, for the launch of the fantastic Dream Explorers project and private chocolate making events. Find out more about Food At Heart
