I've been a little quiet on Insta over the last we

I've been a little quiet on Insta over the last week as I've been enjoying being with people in real life 😁 . Actually I tend to take a little time off social media every now and then for my wellbeing. I spent most of the weekend clearing out my chocolate storage space (my work one, not my personal one 😊) and it's definitely made me feel lighter.

One of the other things I've loved over the past few weeks - and has also been really good for my wellbeing - has been starting up #meditation classes in my new-ish home town of Llanidloes in Mid Wales. Over the last few Covid years I've mostly been running remote sessions and it's SO good to be back in a room with people. The energy of being together is very different. And with everything going on in the world at the moment, having some space for calm and presence feels particularly important.

We had the most beautiful weekend of people, food

We had the most beautiful weekend of people, food and cups of tea with friends and family we haven't seen in a while. It was so rejuvenating!

It was topped off with an amazing Syrian meal at @the_hanging_gardens_llani. I fortunately left a little space for dessert. It was almost entirely plsnt-based which was pretty amazing. It was also really lovely to see so many people from the community enjoying delicious food 😁💚🙏 #supperclub #community #mindfulliving

After a gorgeous few days of sunshine it's bucketi

After a gorgeous few days of sunshine it's bucketing down in Mid Wales - which is rather perfect for my garden! But I enjoy hot chocolate in all weathers 😁. I have to replace the organic cacao powder I add to the chocolate in my hot chocolate blends so it's been a good excuse to do some tasting. And I'm very happy with the results 🍫💚🍫💚🍫 #hotchocolate #mindfulmoments #chocolatelove

This is from a sunny morning last week but kind of captures my summer solstice mood today 🌞. I had a lovely early morning walk with gentle sunshine and then a beautiful dip in the river over the road to end my working day. It feels so lovely to be able to connect with nature this way and was one of the reasons we moved to such a beautiful part of the world. I'm currently feeling very grateful! I'm going to be at @thebigretreatfestival on Friday - woop! I'll be in the Chef's Kitchen at 1.30pm demoing my @calmcocoa Vegan Mylk Chai hot chocolate (with a little mindful sipping too of course). I'm SO looking forward to tomorrow's @focusnewtownhub Spring Fair 🌼. I'll be there with about 30 other stallholders - and lots of hot chocolate of course 😁. On Monday I had a proper read of the Loneliness re

On Monday I had a proper read of the Loneliness report put together by @mentalhealthfoundation for this year's Mental Health Awareness Week - and one of the tips around reducing loneliness was to spend time with pets. I actually chat away to Taz throughout the day (even though he mostly has NO idea what I'm saying) and he really is a companion to me. I can't even remember what it was like to not have a little dog around.

If you struggle to connect with people, animals can be a great alternative (and lots of studies have shown having pets reduces stress levels - apart from when they break into what you thought were your well protected cocoa nibs and you have to rush them to the vets 🙈).

Weekend Taz snuggles are still one of my favourite times of the week - and I've found he's really helped us to meet people in our new(ish) neck of the woods. So thank you Taz!!! 💚💚💚 #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawarenessweek #mhaw2022
